Why Give?
Jesus taught us that it is better to give than to receive. God has been generous toward us and has freed us to be generous as well. The stewardship of our finances is one of the most practical ways our lives can reflect the gospel.
When we give, we do so joyfully as an act of worship and devotion to God because of the overwhelming generosity He has shown to us through Jesus.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. — 2 Corinthians 9:7
