A Brief History of West Church

West Church, originally founded in 1735 as the Third Parish of Haverhill, has been part of the life of this community for nearly three centuries. As Haverhill grew, West Parish was established to serve families in the western part of town, and over the years the church became known for its steady witness to the gospel and its deep roots in the Reformed and Congregational tradition.

Through seasons of growth, challenge, renewal, and change, West Church has remained committed to biblical faith, worship, discipleship, and mission. The church has played an active role in local ministry, global outreach, Christian education, and the spiritual life of the wider community.
